New Year’s Gala: Around the World in Eight Cuisines
The Ocean House hosted the Second Annual New Year’s Gala with over 550 guests and even more balloons! Feasting on cuisines from around the world, guests enjoyed live music and dancing throughout the hotel.
Christmas Comes to the Ocean House
The Ocean House is filled with Christmas spirit, from poinsettias in Seasons restaurant to garlands around the Verandah. Here are some photos of our Christmas decorations.
First Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Community Open House
On Thanksgiving Day weekend the Ocean House held the first annual Tree Lighting Ceremony and Community Open House. Hundreds of people gathered to watch as the Ocean House Christmas tree was lit. At the event, bell ringers from Dunn’s Corner played, and Simon Holt from the Salt Marsh Opera and members of the Chorus of Westerly performed. Afterward, the crowds moved indoors to see the Christmas decorations, the Swarovski crystal-decorated tree, and Santa Claus while enjoying cookies, hot chocolate, cider and holiday bubbly.
Farm + Vine Dinner with Chef Matt Jennings
Seasons hosted its second Farm + Vine Dinner Wednesday, December 1st. Executive Chef and Cheesemonger Matt Jennings, from Farmstead and La Laiterie Bistro in Providence, was the invited chef for the evening during which he prepared a selection of hors d’oeuvres and a three course dinner featuring chicken and pork from local farmer Pat McNiff from Pat’s Pastured. The food was superbly complemented by the Louis Latour wines chosen by Sommelier Ian Magiros from MS Walker of Rhode Island.

Autumn at the Ocean House
Fall is a wonderful time of the year here in New England. The long hot days are gone, the foliage paints our landscape, and the harvests bears wonderful ingredients. Here we share some photos of the Ocean House during the fall.
Farm + Vine Dinner with Chef Rick Allaire
On Wednesday, November 3rd Seasons hosted its first Farm + Vine Dinner featuring Chef Rick Allaire from Tucker’s Bistro in Newport, seafood from local fishmonger Rich Cook, and Watch Hill honey from Eric Fiske for the dessert. Guests enjoyed passed hors d’ oeuvres paired with wines from Jonathan Edwards. The three course dinner, also paired with Jonathan Edwards wines, was a great success, showcasing Chef Allaire’s mastery of seafood preparation and the exceptional local ingredients found in our New England area.
